WG 103 Introduction to Avid Interplay Access 2.0
Overview:
In this course students are introduced to the asset management and client application, Interplay Access. The class will cover how to use Interplay Access to browse, view, log, and organize assets, such as master clips and sequences, graphic files, and other project-related files such as scripts or spreadsheets. In addition the new WAN workflow that allows users to view media from a laptop anywhere in the world will be covered.
Class time is divided between modules which present the techniques needed to effectively operate the Avid system along with explanatory material, and exercises that provide hands-on practice.
Audience:
Media Managers, Producers, Writers, Screeners, Editors, Interns, and or Graphics Artists.
Outline:
- Log in and Navigate through Interplay Access
- Search the Workgroup for both Avid and Non-Avid Assets
- Protect Assets by Creating Reservations
- Identify Streamable Media
- Log, Subclip and Edit Streamable Media
- Work with Non-Avid File Assets
Prerequisites:
Basic understanding of Windows and/or Mac.
