DS v10.2
Customers with a valid support contract can download DS v10.2 from the download center.
DS v10.2.1 patch
DS v10.2.1 is a patch install, not a full install. Avid DS v10.2 must be previously installed to upgrade to DS v10.2.1.
Important Note: Dual boot compatibility is possible between DS v10.2.1 and Symphony v3.5+ or 4.0.2. The dual boot configurations are only possible on workstations qualified with Avid Nitris (classic) hardware.

There is no specific install order required for dual boot compatibility between DS v10.2.1 and Symphony v4.0.2.
* Customers updating to Avid DS v10.x from versions earlier than v10.0 require a license update. Customers updating to v10.2 and 10.2.1 from Avid DS v10.0 do not require a new license.

DS v10.1.2 patch
DS v10.1.2 is a patch install, not a full install. Avid DS v10.1 must be previously
installed to upgrade to DS v10.1.2.
Note that it is not required to add the 10.1.1 update prior to installing 10.1.2
because this latest release already includes all 10.1.1 updates.
Important Note: Avid Symphony/ Avid DS dual boot customers must not upgrade to DS v10.1. Avid DS 10.1 is NOT compatible with Avid Symphony 3.X. Dual boot compatibility between DS and Symphony is possible with DS v10.1.x and Symphony v3.5. The dual boot configurations are only possible on workstations qualified with Avid Nitris (classic) hardware. Verify system configurations here.

*Versions earlier than v3.x of Avid Symphony (Nitris) are not compatible with Avide DS v10 for dual boot configurations.
Avid DS v10.1 uses a Nitris firmware (sceptre 0222) not supported by any Avid Symphony releases, so there is no dual boot support between the two products at that "specific" release version.
There is no specific install order required for dual boot compatibility between DS v10.1.2 and Symphony v3.5.
**Customers updating to Avid DS v10.x from versions earlier than v10.0 require a license update. Customers updating to Avid DS v10.1.x from Avid DS v10.0 do not require a new license.
Important Note: Avid DS Assurance customers upgrading to Avid DS v10.x through the Download Center are entitled to receive one Avid Media Composer software license. Avid Media Composer software requires a physical dongle license. Avid Media Composer dongles will be mailed to Avid DS v10.x customers once they have upgraded and requested their Avid DS v10.x license. Please allow 4 weeks from the date of your upgrade and license request for receipt of your Media Composer Software and dongle. Once you receive the Media Composer software and dongle, you are required to register the product at www.avid.com/register.
