DDMS
Digital Delivery Management System
Overview
The Sundance Digital Delivery Management System (DDMS) provides an easy to use tool to manage the movement of media and metadata between the variety of cache servers deployed at stations and the Sundance media database.
Pathfire
DDMS integrates tightly with Pathfire and controls the movement and renaming of media from the Pathfire DMG server to the station's broadcast server. In addition, Pathfire sends down frame accurate program timing information. This data is automatically applied to the media element in our database, resulting in a fully segmented program without the manual labor normally required. The integration of program metadata can save station operators a great deal of time and manpower.
Note: Additional components are required from Pathfire. Please contact your Pathfire sales rep for details.
DG Systems (w/MediaDVX), Vyvx, FastChannel, etc.

DDMS integrates and manages the movement of media from the various commercial cache servers through integration with either Telestream's TrafficManager or Masstech Group's "Mass Media Box" (MMB) application. DDMS provides a common user interface and tight integration with the Sundance database for all commercial and program delivery systems currently deployed at broadcast facilities.
NGIS (for PBS Member Stations)
Sundance continues to work with PBS in Alexandria, VA, to develop an interface with the Next Generation Interconnection System when it is finally deployed.
Poised for the Future
There is no doubt that non-realtime delivery of commercials and programming will continue to grow and evolve. Sundance's DDMS is architected to take advantage of this emerging trend.

Integrate your business and broadcast workflows with an interoperable standard for efficient communication of tasks and metadata between systems.
